We are looking for a Chief of Staff to work hand in hand with our CEO and leadership team, at the heart of a fast-scaling organization transforming the African educational landscape. This is an intense, high-growth, and deeply rewarding role, offering exposure to every aspect of the Group’s operations, from strategic planning to execution.
As the CEO’s trusted partner, you will act as his megaphone, ears, and clock - ensuring follow-up on group priorities (OKRs), coordinating cross-cutting initiatives, and driving the organization’s rhythm through effective project management and clear communication. You will also play a key role in organizing leadership off-sites and major strategic meetings, while maintaining a strong pulse across all areas of the organization.
In this role, you will develop a unique 360° understanding of Enko Education, helping to create alignment, anticipate risks, build momentum, and bridge gaps whenever needed. You combine business acumen, emotional intelligence, and operational rigor to bring structure, energy, and clarity to complex situations.

Detailed mission of the role
The Chief of Staff ensures the delivery of group priorities through his/her project management skills. Roles to play:
- Initiator: Managing and following up transversal and/or strategic projects; Facilitating key strategy discussions by supporting effective decision-making. Formalizing, proposing methodologies, leading debates within the Group.
- Implementer: Driving priorities to successful completion by supporting the elaboration, formalization, cascading and monitoring of the group vision, strategy and priorities; Acquiring stakeholders' buy-in by providing value.
- Administrator: Making the trains run on time by running the key leadership meetings/workshops (including Group Board Meetings and subcommittees), establish agenda, ensure adequate preparation, animate the meeting, track and monitor follow-ups.
- Gatekeeper: Protecting the CEO's time, taking unnecessary conversations off his plate. Serving as an information funnel, filter, and facilitator. Drafting key internal and institutional communications for the CEO (pitch, interviews, blogs, speeches).
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief of Staff works closely with the leadership team and key stakeholders in the company.

- Are a problems solver, you have a sense of urgency, data, and curiosity;
- Have a strong ownership mentality
- Are curious and quickly autonomous
- Have strong writing skills: you formalize in a crisp and energizing way
- Have strong interpersonal skills: to represent perspectives, get buy-in and commitment from stakeholders
Location and start date
The aim is to start this new role as soon as possible and to be based in Africa, preferably in one of the Enko countries, with a strong preference for Johannesburg, South Africa, where our Group headquarters are located.
