About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and inspiring Visual Arts Teacher to join our dynamic school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Visual Arts lessons that encourage students to explore their creativity, develop their artistic skills, and express themselves through a variety of artistic mediums.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of visual arts and experience working with students in an international or multicultural school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and age-appropriate Visual Arts lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Teach students a range of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, digital art, and other relevant forms of visual expression.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, experimentation, and self-expression.
  • Assess and monitor students' artistic development and provide constructive feedback to support their progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress, assessment, and achievement.
  • Prepare and manage appropriate art materials, equipment, and classroom resources.
  • Encourage students to participate in art exhibitions, competitions, school events, and creative projects.
  • Support students in developing their portfolios and presenting their artwork.
  • Integrate cross-curricular and interdisciplinary projects where appropriate.
  • Promote respect for different cultures, perspectives, and artistic traditions.
  • Ensure that all classroom activities comply with the school's health, safety, safeguarding, and child protection policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support students' academic and personal development.
  • Participate actively in school meetings, professional development activities, and wider school life.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification or relevant teaching certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience teaching Visual Arts, preferably in an international or multicultural school environment.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary art techniques and practices.
  • Ability to teach students of different ages and ability levels.
  • Creative, enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to use technology and digital tools to enhance learning is an advantage.
  • Commitment to child safeguarding and creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Teacher recruitment at Enko Education follows a process we have designed for you: GEM (Germinating Educational Masters).

The GEM recruitment campaign officially closed in April 2026, but we are organising a special, fast-tracked process for candidates online.

This process will take place online from 30 July to 5 August 2026, during which you will go through the stages outlined below. These will offer you the opportunity to develop both your professional and personal skills:

Pedagogical MCQ
Cognitive, learning style and personality tests
Written assignment, language test
Video submission
30-minute individual interview
Group discussion with other candidates
A few days before the process begins, you will receive further information about the platform you will be using, instructions for each stage, the schedule for each assessments, and any necessary materials (computer and stable internet connexion).

Please note that full-day availability is required from 30 July June to 4 August. 

5 August will be dedicated to evaluating your application, and no attendance will be required. You will receive a final response on 5 August end of day.
