Reporting to: Director Schools' Performance (DSP)

Our Heads of Schools benefit from dedicated operational support: School Partners (Marketing, Finance, HR) handle the core business and support functions alongside local support leads. This empowers our Head of School to focus deeply on educational excellence, pedagogy, student success, school culture, and community engagement.
Mission of the Role
The mission of the Head of School (British Curriculum) at KISC is to drive the academic and cultural transformation of the campus to embody the African International School model and become a sustainable School of Choice in the region.
Supported directly by the Director Schools' Performance (DSP), you will bring instructional and managerial leadership, inspire a high-performing staff, collaborate with central experts, and lead our British curriculum section to deliver outstanding educational outcomes and university progression for every student.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership & British Curriculum Excellence
Lead the implementation and development of the British Curriculum (Early Years, Primary, Secondary, IGCSE, and A-Levels).
Ensure top-tier academic standards, achieving target pass rates in checkpoint exams, IGCSEs, and A-Levels.
Supervise university guidance programs to ensure 100% of graduating students complete university applications with at least one confirmed acceptance.
Integrate learning tools, standards, and frameworks designed in collaboration with Enko's Learning & Teaching Central Experts.
2. People Leadership & Professional Development
Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing teaching team (targeting 90%+ A/B players and <10% unwanted turnover).
Conduct performance evaluations and execute structured Professional Development (PD) plans with the support of the DSP.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and caring school culture that embodies the values of Enko Education.
3. School Transformation & Growth
Drive student retention (target >90%) and foster an exceptional parent experience, continuously addressing community feedback.
Support student growth and admissions targets in collaboration with the Marketing School Partner.
Implement a vibrant Extra-Curricular Activity (ECA) program targeting high participation and parent/student satisfaction (80%+ NPS).
4. Strategic & Operational Collaboration
Work closely with the Director Schools' Performance (DSP) to align school strategy with academic performance goals.
Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and HR School Partners to ensure local operational priorities support both educational quality and sustainable growth.
Embed essential management systems (e.g., Toddle, Eduka, Personio, Xero) to streamline school management.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Qualifications:
Educational Leadership: Proven experience as a Head of School, Deputy Head, or Senior Academic Leader in a reputable British curriculum international school (Cambridge / Pearson Edexcel).
Curriculum Expertise: Deep understanding of the British curriculum framework from Early Years to A-Levels.
Track Record: Demonstrated ability to drive academic achievement, university placement success, and staff development.
Education: Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field; teaching qualification required.
